January 2006 – Consultant scoops gold award for client satisfaction

A management consultant from Ashbourne has become the first winner of a national award.

Jonathan Webb scooped the inaugural award from the British Accreditation Bureau.

The bureau is a Government-backed initiative launched 40 years ago to drive up standards of work done by consultants employed by ministerial departments.

It introduced an awards scheme last year, and to qualify members have to submit details of a live project. The client is then asked to complete a questionnaire about the consultant’s management of the project.

Points are awarded according to the responses of the clients.

Mr Webb, of Belper Road , who is married and has two teenage children, runs Webb Development, also of Belper Road . He has five associates.

The firm’s outstanding client ratings over the past 12 years have held Webb Development at the top of the bureau’s register of members, resulting in presentation of the first gold award.

Mr Webb said “Being assessed by the bureau has enabled me to continuously strive to maintain a high standard of service.”

David Fenn, Chief Executive of the bureau, said: “Jonathan is a worthy winner of our inaugural gold award. His client approval ratings have been consistently high since he first became a certified practitioner in 1993.”
